Hi.
I wonder how big of a difference the performance of the 997.1tt Cab will be compared to my TPC Boxster S. I have been able to "keep up" with chipped 996tt Cab.
Any thoughts?

 

Well I would ask if I thought a "chip" was truly a game changer mod. Then realize the 997 will do more than "keep" up with a 996tt. Im not talking down to you or saying anything like that. Just saying that there is a difference in the 997 and I dont think just a chip will bring the 996 to 997 tt level

Realize that the 997tt is a supercar daily driver. You wont feel as great at 9/10ths but driving at 8-9/10s on public roads might not be the safest plan for you and others on the roads.
track handling on a car is great, its also cumbersome when you just want to go for a drive. The 997tt is a but more "cushioned" you always have the sport button to make it more fun.

 

The power on the top end will feel similar but the torque comes on lower and with more punch with the 997TT. The TPC kits are very linear and smooth with their boost.

Hi guys. Thanks for your feedback. I think I did not convey the massage clearly. The 997tt cab I just purchased is shipped to Champion to have full bolt on mods. I wonder how different the power will feel vs my Boxster

 

Well, if they do all the bolt-ons and tune it, it will have about 100+ more then your TPC Boxster.

That might be an understatement.

 

When I upgraded the boxster it was +140whp. Indeed very noticeable.

I am hoping for +200whp from my Boxster (400+200=600whp). My Boxster weighs about 3000lb (similar to a gt2rs)
I rode in a 2011 gt2rs and the acceleration, already rolling, was very impresive, much more powerful than my Boxster and wonder if the modded 997tt can match it.
