It's tough to do and at the end of the day you still have a very heavy, very expensive street car.
Also need to add that you have an uncomfortable street car. Most mods that make the car handle better on the track end up taking away from its street civility. Everyone has their own tolerances for the level of harshness they are wiling to put up with on the street, but stiffer coilovers, roll bars, aggressive alignment, stiffer bushings, stiffer engine mounts all contribute to unwanted noise and vibrations.

I did this to my previous cars and while it made the car more fun to drive on the track, I had to live with the harshness for the remaining 97% of the time I drove it on the street. I think what drove me over the top was the lightweight flywheel. Going from a dual mass flywheel improved engine response, it sounded like a cement mixer for everyday driving. Drove me nuts.

I've learned my lesson so now I keep my street ride close to stock, and save the crazy mods for the track ride.

So what you're saying is I basically need 2 rides .

Ordered GMG springs and sways to lower and help with track. I'll at least keep all my stock parts in case I want to switch back.

Pretty much. The amount you'll end up spending on the TT will go a long way towards a track-oriented car.

This is a never ending cycle. I started with a perfectly good, nicely modified Turbo and in two months have totally redone the engine, suspension, wheels/tires, rear seat delete and am dreaming about the next steps.

Don't listen to anyone, man. Just pass the pipe!

Modding isn't cheap but it's honestly worth the excitement you get everytime you do something new. Just enjoy your car in good health.

PS: Post pics!

you'll be fine with this setup and shouldn't be too uncomfortable on the street. If you start going further (and want to start tracking more) seriously consider a track car. Spec miata's or boxsters are not that expensive. A few mods for the turbo and you're quickly in this price range.

More importantly, a dedicated track car will be much safer on the track and you won't have to worry about wrecking your expensive turbo.

As I said in my other post i went thru this and ended up with a track car (you can see what I got by searching for it here. I think the thread is "new toy" or something like that). If i had to do it all over again i'd probably still do the suspension upgrades as I think the car really needs it. I could have done without the power upgrades. There's just no where you can drive the car on the street near it's stock power, nevermind 700 hp or so.

Everyone is different but I would say if you plan on doing 10 or more track days a year get a car.
