+1 on E55 AMG's advice, a decent Spec Miata is about 10K with spares. As the old saying goes at the track , what does a 911 Turbo and a Spec Miata have in common..... it's hard to do 10K worth of damage to either one.....
Are there any seminars for helping with modding taking over my life? I've owned my first 997.1tt for less than a month and I've already spent over $15k and signed up for multiple DEs. Should I just stay off the forums? Going to get a dyno tune at EPL in 2 weeks, lord help me when I'm down there. Just glad the wife doesn't share my bank account. Any tips appreciated.
I mean it this time! No more Porsches! That is of course until the next turbo and GT3RS come out!
I've never run into anything like it. I've had just about every kind of performance car you can imagine, but the Porsches really are my favorite. Ferrari's are great at certain things, Lambos are great at certain things, GTRs are good at certain things, EVOs and WRXs are fun, Supras, turbo Mustangs, F-150 Lightning (awesome truck), muscle cars, etc.
There is no replacement for displacement, the turbo AWD V10 Gallardos rule the streets, but a 911 Turbo is a great compromise for someone who doesn't want to spend 100k on mods. The guys driving the Corvettes have serious envy when they look at you driving down the road, don't worry. Either that or you can buy a Nissan GTR, but you'll be buying a 100k car that's still a Nissan
. Just keep it in check and ask yourself the question "... and then what?" when you spend money on the car. At the end of the day you'll enjoy it and that's what matters.
