Hi Mike,
I would like to hear about the ZR1 now that you have a TTS.
Forget the price or brand, just plain feel in your pants, sound, power delivery, and fun to drive.

They are two different cars. The ZR1 is by far my favorite car I have ever owned. It's fast, loud, and everyone knows what it is.

The TTS is the fastest car I have ever owned. I have not been too hard on it yet, but I can tell it will roll out. It is supersonic fast whenever you hit the go pedal.

The ZR1 feels so much more raw than the TTS. If you do not respect the power of the car, it will tear your face off. The Corvette will get sideways at any point, at any speed, in any gear. You must respect that car, or it will get out of hand very quickly. As fast as the TTS is, I feel that over 100 the ZR1 has the advantage. It pulls so hard at high speed. The needle really swings toward 200 faster than the TTS.

The TTS is a refined car. The interior is light years better than the Corvette. The PDK... Well, it is nothing short of amazing. ( I own a transmission center, so transmissions are my thing )... The car will allow you to point and shoot wherever you want to go. I love the fact that I have to shut my door firmly due to the fact that the car is so air tight. That is a sign of quality. The ZR1 can not touch build quality like that.

I have tracked many a Corvette. The ZR1 is a monster at the track. Having weight split 52-48 makes it well balanced. You can make a mistake and miss an apex and throttle back to get tucked back in. I feel that the TTS will take a little time to learn that, the back end does feel a little heavy. The brakes on the ZR1 are carbon ceramic just like the TTS. I feel that the ZR1 will brake harder than the Porsche. The brakes are much larger than the TTS, and the tires are as well, so that makes good sense.

I am in love with both cars. I just love them differently. The ZR1 is the car that has everything you need. It will satisfy everything you need. Speed. Looks. Power. Sound..... However, the Porsche is the car you work hard to earn. It is the pinnacle of what car companys try to build. The ultimate sports car. It is a program that works, a company that knows how to build quality cars. On top of the high quality, you have a very fast car, a very stable car, an exclusive auto.... And a great big smile everytime you get into the boost.

Hope that helps.

Mike

TurboS.Cab is infamous around these parts
Love the review Mike! I've contemplated selling my TTS, but in the end, I find it difficult to replace!
