Sport Bucket Seats

Anyone know that when you order the car with Porsche Sport Bucket Seats (GT2 seats with folding backrest), do you have the option to have it with or without the embossed Porsche crest?

I think it is an option, however when I order the seats from Tequipment after, it seems like the only option is with the embossed Porsche crest.

I am hoping to get new Sport Bucket Seats for my 997.2TT without the crests. Any idea where I can get them from?

Thanks!

Buckets without the crest are definitely out there. I almost bought a set, but I preferred the crest. They will come up used on occasion. Otherwise, have you tried Suncoast?

Thanks! I have checked Suncoast and they only have ones with the embossed crest as does my dealer. Seems like that's the only option unless you order the seats with the car. Too bad I prefer the plain look. Thanks!

We can only get the embossed versions as a retrofit. If you find a set that has them, we can get the replacement leather without the Crest. Not cheap, but it can be done.

Thanks for your reply.

Replacement leather means request Porsche to replace the leather or done by another upholstery company?

My 2009 C4S came with the Sport Buckets without the crest. I actually wanted the crests on them as I thought it looked better with the crests. I thought it was subtle and nice to have the crests. Mine was a launch car at the time so I don't think for me it was an option. I'm glad I don't have the sport buckets in my GT3RS though.

Mine too but the seats seem not to be available from Porsche on the new 991 ?

I actually liked them in my C4S. I'm not tall so that wasn't a problem but I did drive another GT3RS with the buckets and then mine which has the adaptive seats. I chose the adaptive because I track the car but also drive it on the street and the adaptive ones offer great support in my opinion and are obviously a bit more versatile. I know the adaptive seats aren't the ideal racing seat but I can tell you they do a very good job. My buddy who is quite a bit bigger wishes he had the adaptive in his RS after driving mine. I guess all a personal choice. If it my RS was only a track car, then I may chosen the sports buckets. Also they do take some used to on entering and exiting.

Thanks! Definitely good information to know as I am still on the fence.
