Unhappy Fog lights not working need help!

Hi Guys,

I know the led tail conversion 997.1 to 997.2 has been covered in many threads but I have a different problem and need some help, I performed the conversion a while back I replaced both front and rear modules swapped the pins that needed to be swapped, this was done approx 4-5 months ago everything works perfect, blinkers/brakes etc... but until a few days ago I had never noticed that my fog lights and front trunk lid light don't work since my car was stored for our deadly winter months I never paid attention to fogs , I checked the wiring diagrams and the pins for the fogs and trunk light are at the same position on the updated front module, I still had my old front module so I plugged it in and the fogs and trunk lid lights work, this tells me that electrical wiring is good no cut wires etc... so i'm thinking what the heck could be wrong? has anyone encountered this problem? ANy input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Any other electrical symptoms? Headlight? Headlight washer? Horn? Was the battery disconnected over winter?

Fuses are all ok, everything else works fine , I checked everything I even plugged piwis and I can activate fogs via Front module in piwis by manually actuating so the electrical circuit appears to be fine , its a weird issue, I usually figure out most issues but this one is giving me a hard time.

When you did your installation, I'm assuming that you used PIWIS to read out the old module and write the data into the new control module, then coded the front and rear module as LED?

Yes correct, i performed the handover (read/Write) to new front module, and coded LED on both front and rear modules, I have done a few of these conversions on 997.1 to 997.2, 987.1 to 987.2 but the 997.1TT to 997.2TT has this issue. I also took a wiring diagram from a 2010 Turbo and the 2007 Turbo I compared every single pin to see if a pin may have possibly changed position and would affect electrical for the fogs and front lid but no same pin numbers that's what confuses me the most and to top it all off I ended up getting another front module off my friendly parts manager at local Porsche Dealer I figured maybe my new front module was defective but same results at least I'm sure that its not the module and not the wiring either since that I was able to activate the fogs manually via Piwis.

I'm sorry Nello, I'm probably at the limits of my knowledge. It seems like you programmed the unit correctly. It sounds like the unit wired correctly. The only other thing I can think of is to re-program the front and rear units both. If it still doesn't work, my guess is that one of the control units has failed? That is a long shot, and I'm guessing at this point.
