Question 3.6L Turbo engine documentation

Hello, everyone

Does anyone of you have some documentation of the 3.6L turbo engine, please? Detailed descriptions, plots etc.
I am very curious to read about the engine and to see the pictures of it from different sides with explanations and things like that.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure which generation you're looking for exactly but the actual Porsche website has some pretty detailed diagrams and explanations. I've messed around in the current turbo s section a little bit. If you go a little more than halfway down the page from the link I've listed below, you can see a pretty detailed and interactive engine diagram. There's also a bunch of other information about the PDK, PTM, PTV, etc... http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/911/911-turbo-s/detail/drive/

I am looking for 997 Turbo, before restyle (3.6L Mezger). I think what one can find on Porsche webpages these days is only info on the 3.8L engine.

997 Turbo - http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/91.../detail/drive/

997 Turbo S - http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/91.../detail/drive/

Not sure how much of a difference there is. I haven't had too much time to check it out.

**Edit - I actually don't think there's any. The S is just in overboost all the time I'm pretty sure?

You could probably spend a few hours on those pages haha.

There is a publication by Porsche called "Service Information Technik Introduction Manual" - it costs somewhere around $20-40, but is no longer available through dealerships. It is pretty good reading for the enthusiast. It is not a service manual, which is available online via PIWIS.

I have the Porsche Product Information brochure for the 997.1 Turbo in pdf. It's a big file (3mb) so PM me your email and I'll send it along. It has lots of good info not only on the engine but the entire car.

Thanks a lot, bbywu!
I found only one copy of this manual on Ebay, but I really do not like PayPal.

Damn, the Service Information Technik Introduction Manual for 3.6L 997 Turbo, that was for sale on ebay, is also gone.

Who is the responsible, speak up! I bet someone read this thread and went and bought it.

Please, anyone know where I can get/buy a copy of that Introduction Manual?
