Here are pics of the before pics of the interior bits and pieces being converted to CF...our CF guy is incredible.

Door handle and air bag mark (couldn't think of a better term...)...

The GT2RS rear bumper is getting test fitted...along with the carbon fiber exhaust bezels. There is an AWE muffler delete...the LED rear tail lights are getting test fitted later this week...

Instead of reinventing the wheel...we are just going to source OEM GT2RS exhaust tips...trust me...it won't be posing since the final product will have over 300hp more than the stock GT2RS (in AWD vs RWD). Aesthetically it will be an amalgamation of the Turbo, Turbo S, GT2RS, and GT3...my own beautiful Frankenstein.

The interior is getting worked simultaneously...interior carbon pieces are being done now and the interior panels and floor will be started end of next week...

PS The circled areas are part of the retractable rear wing...THOSE will be chopped off when the car goes to the body shop for paint.

GT3 front bumper vent getting installed...

Another pic of the exhaust bezel...

HERE is a pic of a 996 where the base edges were cut off and squared...don't mind the pic of the rear spoiler...that owner made C2Design add 3"s to the height of the spoiler. Chris@C2Design told him it didn't look right but the owner wanted it no matter what Chris said...and threatened not to pay him.

And the beat goes on...some stereo work and tear down...I'd say we are about 4-6 weeks out...or with Murphy's Law applied 8-10 weeks.

A couple of pics from today...

Front portion of dash with integrated Hertz tweeter...

Cardboard mock up of front trunk audio...horizontal portion will be cover for the 2 Hertz crossovers. The bottom floor will hold the 2 Hertz amps...a cover will hide the amps but will have openings that will show the Hertz logo (since they light up)...so if you look at the trunk then all you see are lighted Hertz logos. All panels will be covered in red leather.

Top front cover of the trunk will get redone...the 3 top covers (#1, #2, and #3) will be converted to carbon fiber along with the front handle (#4). The rest of it will be covered in red leather...

GT3/GT2 front grill installed...

Front laser diffuser placement...

Subscribed! I plan on doing this as well when I add a cup-style wing...I can't wait to see how it turns out on this car.

So don't forget to post some good after-paint pics of it!!!

Thanks!

Some photos from work done today...rear bumper, tail lights, and tail pipe were test fitted. It'll go to upholstery next then final finish work @ the body shop. Based on the email from Chris@C2Design, there needs some contouring done to get the it to look right...nothing difficult just time consuming. We could just paint it and put it on and be done with it but I know myself and Chris...it would drive us crazy if doesn't look proper with respect as fitment and gap lines.

PS The arrows point to the lower portion of the rear bumper we will try to convert to carbon fiber.
