The upholsterer still has it and is buttoning everything down. I've been promised that it should be @ C2Design by this week. I really can't rush this type of quality work...

With that said, some more carbon pieces came in...all I can say is...WOW!

Door handles grips...

Front trunk piece covers...

Shifter ****...

Thx guys...997tt is back from the upholsterer. Start of the re-assembly starts THEN body work, which is relatively light...GT2RS bumper, Turbo S side skirts, and Speedster humps...

PICS of front trunk...the wood/plastic covers will get the CF treatment...

Beautiful; the car is turning into a custom piece of art! All those mods and you still have the stock intercoolers?! really though!?

Really interested in that Delavilla hardback (Speedster humps) are they all custom order?

I was just wondering if anyone made such a thing and found them in this thread.

Can't wait to see this all finished.

From my understanding, they fit 996 and 997's without customization.

UPDATE: The light at the end of the tunnel...

1. Body - The car is at the body shop with all new parts fitted (rear bumper, side skirts, speedster cowls) and rear wing base cut. Now paint is next and should happen tomorrow or Friday.

2. Interior - The carbon sub is finishing up the last pieces with the center console being the last thing to be done...yes the center console. This will be difficult but if pulled off very special. We were going to wrap with new leather or dye portions of the center console but we looked at it and we were worried about fitment of the leather and the dye color matching properly. It actually was dyed but it was no where near being close enough to our liking. At that point, I did a WTF and agreed we need to go all in on the carbon fiber to make things match and fit properly.

Let's just say this project didn't start out with a lot of carbon fiber but damn...even it boggles my mind how much was done.

Here are some detail pieces that were brought to the shop...handbrake cover and the air bag decals.

Final Assembly - After paint so shooting for late next week or the following week. The plan is to have this done by Oct 23.

Update:

Body: 997 has finally the new pieces painted and reassembly is today and tomorrow.

Reassembly: All next week...still waiting on CF center console but should be done by next week.

Engine: I want to drive it as is except for ECU/TCU tweak by Switzer (about another 100hp/100ft-lbs to crank with quicker and firmer shifts) for the next couple of months. I have a build slot for 2/1/14 with Switzer for the following:

SPI Full Exhaust - No Cats
SPI BPRS Setup
SPI Header Package
SPI Upgrade GT30R Turbochargers (incl. hardware and lines)
Syvecs S8 PnP Standalone ECU Kit
Switzer Syvecs S8 ECU Calibration
SPI "Monster" Intercoolers (PAIR)
SPI I/C Plumbing Kit for "Monster" Intercoolers w/Billet BOVs
SPI Custom High Flow Intake Plumbing
SPI High-flow Air Filters
SPi-spec Iridium Performance Spark Plugs
SPI High-flow Injectors
SPI Flex-Fuel System Upgrade

• Switzer Tiptronic Upgrade Includes TCU Software Calibration
• Transmission Torque Converter re-flash

OTHER TIDBITS:

- boost around high 20's hitting @ around 4000
- 900hp+ to crank...definitely 700whp but hoping for closer to 800whp
- 0-60 in 2.5s
- stepping stone to Switzer's built engine program (Stage 1 and Stage 2) which they are still developing...I won't jump into that until Tym Switzer is comfortable with the setup's efficiency and reliability.
