UPDATE:

1. Going with GT2RS type rear bumper upgrade...but staying with Werks rear wing, Werks front splitter, Techart front GT2 vent, and MACarbon side mirrors





NOTE: The bottom lip in the pics above is black but will be body color white...leaving the carbon fiber vents as is...the small diffuser fins will remain black or converted to CF...PLUS the bumperettes will be removed (like first pic...second pic of the red car has the bumperettes)...

2. Going with 2 sets of wheels...

- Rennen M9 Super Concave (8.5F and 12R)...brushed face and gunmetal internals all in satin finish clear...
- BBS E88's

3. Ended up choosing the OE GT2 seats instead of Recaro aftermarket...recovered in matching red leather.

 

Simba had Xpel Ultimate done...whole front, doors, A pillars, side mirrors, and rear quarter area where stock stone guards were...




Went by C2Design to go over the parts list...everything is pretty much ordered for the exterior and all the interior trim will converted to CF (gloss to match the GT2 seat backs) by a local guy. I've seen his work and have some in the SL65...quality stuff.

The exterior trim will be satin CF...here are pics of a CLK63 BS they are working on with CF they converted from gloss to satin...very nice contrast.





AFTER all this aesthetic and audio/video upgrades are done...THEN here we come SWITZER!!!! It'll be EPIC! Just saying...

Werks rear wing and front splitter came in...

 

Seats came in with the GT2 side skirts and the facelifted rear LED tail lights. I didn't get leather only because they are re-covering them in Carrera Red leather anyway...

Whats cool is that the seats are diagonal weave and most CF in interiors is straight weave...so we are doing ALL the interior CF in diagonal weave to match the interior and exterior...its a detail that most miss but it irks me when I look at mismatched weave...

The 20" street wheel and tire setup came in...its not for the purists but I like them.

The 19" BBS E88's for the purist in me are coming in next week...I am still waiting for some custom work to make some red BBS center caps to fit.

On Monday...it'll get brought in and it'll be @ C2Design for a week or so to get lowered via Bilstein PSS10's (it really needs it), more stopping power with Brembo's Big Brake GT kit, and we will fit the Werks rear wing and front spoiler...the GT2 side skirts and GT2RS rear bumper will get put on at the same time.

The interior work and body work will be done once the new leather comes in for the seats, steering wheel, and all panels that are currently carpet (except for red carpet at my feet...that'll stay).

 

Stopped by C2Design and had test fitment of the BBS E88's...love them. Actually love both styles...very different.

The E88's have a very aggressive fitment but spot on...THANK YOU Peter@ACG. The Bilstein PSS10's and RSS suspension components were put on and now the height is almost where we want it...

The Werks CF rear wing, Werks CF front spoiler, CF GT3 hood grill, GT2RS bumper (sans bumperettes), AWE bypass with 200 cell cats, lower CF side mirror molds, and GT2 side skirts will get put on...after the matte white wrap gets put on...

Still waiting on red leather for the GT3 CF seats...all the interior bits have been looked at by our local CF tech so we are good to go with that plan. We'll meet next week on the audio/video upgrade...




The Rennens on one side and the E88's on the other...

 

Pics with Werks rear wing and front lip...BBS E88's are waiting for custom center caps since the E88's don't come with center caps per se...since it is usually a racing wheel it is driven with no center caps or a faux center lock look cap. Just decided to drive a bit before matte white wrap goes on and GT2 side skirts are put on...the street Rennens are on for now.

 

^^^Just put on the BBS E88's today as a change of pace...center caps being worked on for the E88...set of red and a set of carbon BBS center caps. Easier said than done...a bit of machining, configuring, and painting to get center caps on this bad boy...BUT it will look good when its done...




PS We have the red leather for the GT3 carbon seats (they are in black leather now), the GT2 side skirts, GT2RS rear bumper (lot of prep on this piece is needed but it'll look fresh when completed), and Bembro Big Brake kit. All the silver interior bits will still get all converted to carbon pieces by one of the subs used by C2Design.

I can't wait to have all the carpet in this ride replaced with leather or alcantara...carpet...even Porsche carpet looks dated and dare I say cheap looking... Details is what Chris@C2Design and I live for...

The custom BBS center caps came in from ACG...actually earlier this week but hadn't had a chance to put them on and drive the car until today.

GT2RS bumper CF exhaust bezels finally came in...the rear bumper came in first and it took another 2-3 months to get the bezels. Finally took lawyers to get involved to get these things...

AS with the bumper (well most afermarket body panels), it is a 6 out of 10 in quality. A lot of pre-paint fitment and finish work has to be done by the body shop to get it to look right...it will. Chris@C2Design will have his CF guy take a look at bezel and see what we can do to make it look better (it will get clear coated though to match the rest of the exterior carbon)...barely see the weave...it might get recoated in another layer of carbon fiber.

I'm sure Chris can make it look right.

Here is pic of the GT2RS rear bumper...2nd pic is the exhaust bezel. AND YES we have the updated rear LED tail lights waiting to be installed.

 

Compare this to previous pic...we had our local CF guy redo the rear exhaust bezel...now it looks like a good carbon piece instead of looking like someone stenciled in a CF pattern...




Rest of the bodywork (GT2 side skirts/GT2RS rear bumper/rear wing base ends cut) is getting put on while the stereo is getting started.

 

The GT3 seats came back from upholstery...the pics don't do them justice. They haven't even been steamed yet...excited to see them in the car with the new interior leather and full carbon trim effect.
