Replacement Primary 02 sensor 997.1tt

If you ever find yourself needing a new primary 02 sensor, such as if you were removing an exhaust and found that the primary 02 sensor was complete stuck into it, (grrrr) I did find a slightly cheaper alternative:

The factory part number is : 997 606 128 02

The Bosch 17310 turns out to have the SAME PART NUMBER embossed on it. It is about $40 cheaper than the factory part retail. I couldn't find it except through the dealership but your mileage may vary. Might be a new application.

The connectors are exactly the same, the wire loom is the same and it is exactly like the one I removed from the car.

Any tips for removing a primary O2 sensor while the exhaust is still mounted to the car?

It's pretty tough to get to.

I second pulling the exhaust off it will make it much easier. We offer a few different different 02 sensors, for more information Click Here.

Turned out to be a bent prong in the sensor's plug. Car runs great again, thank jesus.

I replaced one primary o2 in 4 years (car would get wacky readings between 4500-6500) I thought it was VTG's adjusting.
