Garrett 3071 to 3076

is it worth the change on a tiptronic? I have the gt3071 and thinking of upgrading to the gt3076 I have a built tansmission and supporting mods so what do you guys suggest? Keep the 3071's or upgrade them to 3076 and get a torque converter?

I think the GTX is over rated unless you run really high boost

I was thinking the Tial Alpha 3076 with my built motor/ built tip.

P.s the upgraded torque converter was a great mod, the car rolls into boost very nicely now and takes off out of the gate like no other.

What is the advantage of A3076 to GTX3076 or GTX3071??

I know that Alpha is bolt on but the GTX is less expensive and you need new custom headers.

Does anyone use GTX30???

Will the torque converter effect the car on top speed or high rolling?

As of my knowledge and butt-dyno it does not affect high rolling, as far as top speed I cant see it changing that either because those are dialed into the trans gearing. Cant get up to much speed here in NY!

how about HTA vs. GTX - I thing the GTX does require high boost to shine.. where as HTA is the billet wheel the alphas use as well ... (I think)

Bro , for Tip car HTA 3076 is perfect , the
spool is fast , it hits like VTGs ! The diffrence between the GTX (billet wheel) vs. cast wheel in low boost is small ! U need to run high boost to feel it ! To be honest i like the GTX as am rolling high speed when i do racing so i do not worry about the LAG !!
But if you want fast spool , power as well , am sure HTA3076 will be good option for Tip car .. !
Just my opnion .. !
