Not a TT but my X5M in Carbon Black. Sitting at a light, BAM! Young girl driving moms car say's she is trying to turn of the defrost and hit my car. Rear bumper shot and a dent on the lower tailgate. They are going to pay cash so I don't have to deal with insurance.

I see a lot of good info on the web about Martino's Auto in Glen Cove. I would prefer to stay near house in NNJ but currently working on LI. Martino's seems to take a little while and with the holidays would like, if possible, to have this taken care of ASAP.

Thanks for all replies in advance.

C&D Autobody in South Hackensack is excellent. I've used them a couple of times (thankfully not for the TT!) and their work is top notch. They do a lot of BMW work too. Matt, the guy who runs the place, is a perfectionist and all around a great guy to deal with.

Agreed that C&D is a solid shop. Unfortunately, if you don't want to wait months to get your car back, Matt is not the best option. I've had good luck with Nash Park Autobody in Clifton. They are owned by a family of car enthusiasts and have done great work for me in the past. Ask for Craige.

I've never had a long wait to get in to see Matt. Worth just giving him a call to see what his schedule looks like.

Thats odd. For the 15+ years I've been using him there has always been a wait...usually a lengthy one. Thats why I stopped going to him. Anyway, like you said, its worth a shot....after all he does great work.
I find Nash Park to be more accommodating, providing quality on par with C&D.

Try Overseas Autobody in Hastings on Hudson. Ask for James V. Tell him Nick-NY sent you. They do all of the work for a large BMW dealer. They are good. Had my rear bumper repaired by them a few years ago.

I have had work done at Finish Line Auto Body in Valley Stream NY. They have an enterprise car renal desk right in the building. I have many of my cars repaired and painted there. Cesare is a gentleman and excellent businessman as is Mike. They have consistantly delivered a product that meets or exceedes expectations and mine a very high. I will not go anywhere else-he has done that good a job for me both on the repairs them-selves and on handling a situation where my wife was hit by a driver who ran a stop sign.

I have had expensive and minor repairs done by Finish Line and they treated me and the repairs to the same level of scrutiny and perfection. If you want to PM me I can discuss anything else you would like about Finish Line. They are a great operation.

In all honesty its worth the trip to martino auto concept. They do absolutely amazing work and I am pretty sure they are a forum sponsor. They are located in Glencove NY. Its about an hour and a half drive from North NJ.

Thanks for all the replies. I have decided to go to Harbour Auto Body in Edgewater NJ. I had my wife's range rover fixed there a few years ago but it was a relatively easy repair of about $500.

In speaking with the owner, Mike Colon, he made me confident that he knew what he is doing. He has been doing this over 30 years and works on many BMW's. He had a bunch of X5's there and a relatively new 335is that looked great. He confirmed that Carbon Black was not an issue, etc. His shop is not the most impressive visually but he certainly has the knowledge.

Parts were delivered yesterday and car is already there. Should be back by the weekend.

I will let you guys know how it turns our. Mike assured me I would not be able to tell the difference.

The one on River Road by the bridge is Prestige Auto Body.
