2007 Turbo or 2011 4s?
2007 Turbo or 2011 4s?
This is a hard decision, I've owned my 2012 cayman(base) for a little while, now I wanted to up the power a bit, regardless of the new 991 since they are new and expensive just liked the time I bought my cayman. The 2007 turbo is a lot cheaper than the 2011 4s, the 2011 4s has pretty much loaded, the only thing I'm quite worry about the turbo is the high mileage and less comfortable electronic designs(no ipod connector that is). Could any experts give me the advice to make this decision?
The 997.1 Turbo is by far and away the greatest car I've ever driven. It's fun and practical. I wouldn't trade it for anything. If I were to hit the powerball this week I'm sure I'd still make that statement next week.
Still find it difficult to relate to an IPod connector being a reason to overlook this superb automobile. Heck, half the time I don't even turn on the radio just to hear the sounds the car makes. This is a no brainer, definitely the Turbo, make sure you hit the "SPORT" button and give it a good run, that will answer your concerns.

Well the car has 65k mils on it already, the original warranty expired. Is there an extended warranty I can get?
I tried to get an after market warranty on my 07 997 last year when I bought it with around 35,000 on it and because of the miles it was extremely expensive. Here is one you might consider:

The one I saw was 65k about 59k, it's definitely not CPO because it's not a porsche dealer and the warranty on it is gone, I'm not sure if i should trade my 2012 cayman for that... even I know I love the turbos after just did one test drive.....Does turbo usually breaks down at 50k+? If it reaches 100k would it be extremely costly to fix?
Car is a mechanism, it can break down at any time, independent of mileage. Do you have means to run and maintain a Turbo? It can get expensive, deoending on the failure. Buying a used car is a probabilities game. Do you feel lucky today?
