997.2 Tt alternatives?
997.2 Tt alternatives?
I had an amazing drive in a 997.2 Tt Manual transmission yesterday.
The car was a perfect fit and I was ready to pull the trigger. Unfortunately, the trade in value for my 997.2 c4s was too low (on account of the 94,000kms I put on in the 20 months since I bought it), and I had to pass.
This means I'll likely end up keeping my c4s ad adding something like a turbo eventually.
This will end up being a 993 Tt if I find the right one, or a new model.
I also drove a turbo s pdk and was frankly quite bored by the experience, so as far as the pdk versus mt debate - that's resolved for me.
There are soft rumors that the 991 turbo will not be offered with a mt option.
Where will that leave people like me? In the market for a new high end manual transmission turbo?
What other cars compare?

No need to look outside the Porsche family. Porsche will always offer a manual transmission on their base Turbo model even though there is a trend to go PDK. Porsche recognizes that there is a devoted market for the manual transmission, even if the PDK is more popular. Of course Porsche may not offer the manual on certain models, like the Turbo S, for example. I agree with you-the PDK is boring and I rather row the gears myself
