Replace 1 TPMS monitor or all 4?

my 2007 997 TT registered a TPC failure a few months ago and I've been waiting for my new wheels before swapping sensors.

Today I pulled out my durametric cable and read the TPMS error code as well as checked the battery life. The durametric software shows the following battery life of each sensor

FL: 26 Months
FR: 25 Months
RL: 25 Months
RR: 0 Months

so I have a confirmed dead sensor, but anyone know how accurate the reading is on the remaining 3 sensors? debating replacing just the dead one but would be very annoyed if those battery readings are false and I have another one die in 2 months

and in terms of replacement sensors, what's the suggestion for reliable and affordable sensors? Tirerack? suncoast? other?

thanks
Art

That's really weird, having 3 sensors with 2 years left and one go bad. When I got my 2007 TT, one sensor was bad and the other 3 were very close to going out (few months left in all of them), so the seller had all 4 replaced. I would do all 4, to be safe, for 2007 this is about the time to replace them.

I bought a new set of OZ wheels from TireRack with their sensors and had no problems so far. Can't speak for long term reliability, but for the couple of months I've had them, they worked well.

alloywheelsdirect.net, buy four sensors. Just replaced all of them in my MY2008 997TT. Symptoms identical to yours.

yeah you are correct. I'm going to order all 4 from Tire Rack, they source them from Beru and the price is reasonable.

Yes, I would replace all 4. I have been told that they start failing in the 24-29 month mark.

I ordered the Beru HUF sensors from tire rack model # RDE-001. Based on the feedback on this and another forum these seem to be direct replacement for stock and made by the same exact manufacture that supplies Porsche. Price for the set was very good and Damon from Tire Rack was helpful in explaining the details

will have them next week and should be ready to go in my new wheels. Will report back on how they work
