Yes officer, I do have a front license plate. Look again ...
For those of you who live in states that require a front plate, this may be an option for you ... LOL!

Had one on my 997 Turbo in Illinois...With the STUPID front plate law!....Got on an open road out in the cornfields to test my tune etc...and as you all know it does not take but a few seconds of hard acceleration to eclipse 100 MPH....So....I got up to let's just say greater than 100 - 140 ish....When I came to rest and walked around the front of the car....My plate was dragging the ground, and the bracket was severely bent...
Anyway...These are great...not doffing them...just note they will come apart when you get to speed with them in the down position

I am sure CA has that rule but not one of my cars has ever had a front plate. If the San Jose PD has nothing better to do then to stop me for a missing front plate that would be sad. I am pretty sure they tell cops to stop cars based on the total ticket cost of the stop. If it's a fix it warning the ROI of stopping me is a loss for the city coffers. Get the guys doing 75 in a 35 MPH zone. Probably a +$300.00 ticket for the city. Now thats worth his 15 minutes.

I saw that....I was able to install neatly without trimming anything at all. I adjusted the mounting brackets and angles, so it was practically invisible when under, and popped out perfectly. I personally would not have cut anything on mine...

About the previous post and cops having better things to do...I agree and wish that was true everywhere. I have paid 4 tickets at $120 a pop on my Cayenne, GT3, and Turbo....They suck! I live in an affluent area with no crime, so the cops just harass the people with nice cars....All 4 tickets were JUST FOR NO FRONT PLATE...no speeding, or anything else....And one was in a school parking lot waiting fro my daughter (who was helping as a crossing guard!!)..WTF

Don't park in Palo Alto without a front plate. Only place I ever got ticketed for no plate.

WA State is poor also ...was stopped recently for the first time in 20 years.
I don't need the hassle & complied.
Had one on my audi s5. Bought it off ebay for around $130 made by Altec i think. A surprisingly quality product...the only downside is the two cheesy looking remotes that come with it.
Had it in the up and down positions at high speeds without issues.

I have the tow hook mount from GMG motorsports (not the Porsche tuning company). Really well made bracket and it stays nicely in place. Had it on my last car as well and simply got a new screw for the turbo. Don't have any pics right now, but maybe I'll try to take some and add later. Check them out, highly recommended.

I was thinking if I could rig a bracket or slot for it to rest in when it lays down, it would not break at speeds. Just never put the time in to figure it out. It would seem relatively easy to have slots for it to back into that would keep it from folding down when you go too fast..
I guess another solution would be to keep it under 110 MPH
