Question Re: This 997TT DME Report....
Hi All,
I am new to this forum, and I am looking for some insight and feedback as I am ready to purchase my first Porsche, a 997TT. I have one lined up that I really like however, I am interested in getting some honest feedback re: the attached DME report.
If you were the buyer, and this car met all of your criteria, would you seriously consider this 997TT based on everything else checking out and the attached DME report or, would you walk? Would like to know your reason either 'yes' or 'no'. The car has 60K miles and comes with a 2ry CPO warranty. Always Porsche dealer serviced and is clean. Here is the report I recently received on the Porsche I am after:

How many hours total on the engine? That would matter to me. 9 range 4s that just happened would make me question, 9 range 4s 100 hours ago, the engine would already be done for if it did damage. Make the deal ride on a leak down test and I wouldn't disqualify the car based only on that report.

So what bothers me there, is it was overreved 24 minutes ago. As in, the owner just did it. Make him pay. Leakdown, compression, and discount. But hammer them with that data to get a better price. Or walk away... there's lots of fish in the sea unless this is equipped exactly like you desire.

The car has 59k miles. They have just done the 60k mile service on the car. Comes with 2yr CPO warranty and they are asking $69,999. Best they said they could is $67,999...I think I can do better, especially with new found info you have provided.
The car is equipped the way I want however, hearing that it was overreved 24min ago has me moving on to the next one.
Thanks again!

Good call.
Can you find anything about the Owner? And I dont know if they can CPO those overevs
The car has been traded into the Porsche dealer now, I am dealing with them directly. According to them, it is a 1 "mature" owner vehicle. They are selling the car with a CPO attached.
well he is one overreving dude, there MIGHT, be software so you could check that but he is letting the revs climb either side.
Also...your screen shot seems to say, in upper left corner "....states". You are in Canada, yes ? Is this dealer Canadian or American ? And, as previous response noted, how are all these overrevs noted at the same hours ? Don't think I've ever seen such a report. Anybody else confused by this format ?
