turbo market

hello I just sold my car and I am considering a 911 for my next car. It will most likely be a Turbo if not a GT car. I go thru cars pretty quickly so getting a good deal and finding a car that will retain value are both very important to me. So I come to the 6 speed experts, looks like 07 maybe 08 is the years that fall in my budget and have the lower miles I want.

The main car I am looking at is an 07 w/ 23k, manual, chrono, suede inserts, 1 owner, no negative history, I am waiting for DME and inspection reports etc. Ive seen similar cars from high 60s to low 80s. What number would you put on it? How much of a roll does the color and interior options play? I think this car is amazing looking in white w/ black leather and suede w/ red stitching interior does that bring value up? From what I found perfect history and the best color combos seem to be around 79-81k does this sound right? what would be a great price for the car Im looking at assuming good DME and PPI? TIA

76-80k. Sounds like a unique interior but I don't see if influencing sale price(s)

My buddies have already provided price info right on target. I would say that the color combo is a special one, especially with the Alcantara inserts which would be very rare. Believe it or not, mileage is a bit high and will drive the value. I suspect it also has sport seats which add as well. Car should sell at a premium. Oh the other factor, is it a private party or dealer car? Cpo?

If this is coming CPO I'd be surprised if you get it for <80k. The color and options you describe are typically what everyone wants. Good luck in your negotiation.

its not cpo'ed i dont believe, doesnt sound like im gonna get a good enough deal to drive it and still turn a profit on it so i will pass most likely. It does come w/ really expensive 3 pc wheels and the stocks w/ new tires so i thought I could sell the 3pc and make up a lil money but still dont think its there...

The car sounds nice. I'd buy it anyway if you like it even if you only break even or shoot, even if you lose a few grand. YOLO. You could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Then what will it matter?

i would be very circumspect about the notion one might find and buy a well kept 997.1t and drive it thru summer only to sell it at break even let alone at a profit. i say you'll take a multi k hit unless it was *fire sold* to you in the first place. good luck trying though.

unless you have dealer plates and even if you do break even on price (big maybe)....did you consider the tax on the full price and registration cost for the 6 months that you'll own it?
