FVD control module didn't work
FVD control module didn't work
.....for anyone doing the 997.2 conversion on 09 Turbo
- The FVD control unit didn't work for me. Everything worked except the rear indicators. It worked sometimes, flickered and didn't work at all.
- Tech swapped front control unit from an '08 turbo and put it into my car, connected the FVd modules and it all worked.
- Basically, this module works on an '07 and '08 without the need for updating front + rear control modules.
- Got a refund and will do pin swaps tomorrow.
- The dealer however stands by the fact that these modules will work flawlessly with an '09 and maybe my new FVD module was defective (ain't the case as it worked with the 08 front module)
- Installed the front DRL fog lights and works flawlessly with the existing modules, just needed to code it in.
- At the moment, i have the fast flashing indicator on the dashboard and error messages to check rear indicators. But everything works on the outside and the car is perfectly drivable. As mentioned in other threads, i will need to swap pin 11 to 36 and pin 42 to 31. (to be done on the front or rear control unit, i am unsure. Will ask the tech who will do it 2mrw)
Hope this helps for anybody looking to upgrade an '09TT to 997.2.
Thanks
