newbie 997.2 tts questions
Not new to the forum but my 997.2 tts got delivered today and so far I had a few quick questions.
1. For CL wheels, is a adapter to remove the wheel not included from factory?
2. What's up with the sticker on the passenger door concerning airbag check. Never seen this before on any of my p cars.
More qs to follow once I put more time into the car. Just had it a few hours.

Hey,
I'll only answer #1 as I'm not sure about the second one.
The Tool to remove the CL Wheels is in the Trunk compartment, behind a black cover you pull out.
It's at the bottom left corner against the wall. Pull out that square part and you should see it.

thanks for the confirmation. thought it may have been a replacement airbag due to a accident or something...
another question:
why doesn't the music play through bluetooth like other P cars? My 12 CS does so is it a software update or just not available on the 997.2?

Just to make sure you're aware, you need this huge breaker bar (you can buy it from suncoast for about 400 bucks) to crack the wheels loose. You also need a special torque multiplier to tighten the wheels which you will pretty much not find anywhere except for a porsche dealership or a legitimate performance shop that works on porsches. They get torqued to 600nm or 444ft lbs. which is out of the realm of a typical torque multiplier.
thanks for the info and I've did some research before getting the car about CL wheels and saw the tools listed in the FS forums, but still was curious what all was needed.
The shop that I've used on past p-cars hasn't worked on CL wheels yet but he said all he needs is a torque tool that can torque it to #'s required by P and we should be good. Not true? He said he has a torque wrench for deisel trucks and what not so it shouldnt be an issue...

Not sure if it will definitely work or not since he has never removed a CL wheel before. He just told me that his torque wrenches for diesel trucks should be more than sufficient. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime. I'm also not sure how the removal process will work but he feels as long as his torque wrenches can torque it to spec and they fit on the key I should be gods.

1. Lower the car
2. Change the wheels
The only place that I've found locally is the p dealer and I don't feel like paying them to swap my spring or wheels. All other shops I've called said as long as I have the center bolt removal their torque wrenches can do the job.
My dealer in Scottsdale is great and I have resigned to letting the dealer mess with my car and take responsibility. If I lowered this car I would be replacing my front splitter ever few weeks. Just glad it is plastic and not CF.
