Can someone tell me what this color is called on this 997TT?
I'm thinking about selling my 996TT and moving up to a 997TT & came a across a fairly good deal, but have never seen this color before and was curious to find out what the actual "Porsche" color is called?

Polar Silver was first introduced in the 964 and is a cool color. My 993 C4S was that color. On cloudy days it would look light blue. Very hard color to match though, if you need any paintwork.
Also the car in the link looks very sparsely optioned. It does not have the sport chrono package and sport seats for instance. The latter are relatively easily retrofitted. The former is not. But the price reflects this.

Depends - PTS is an available option...but Porsche doesn't always offer older colors or does so very seldom and randomly. I believe you have to ask Stuttgart if the color is available for PTS then order it that way.

This car has been for sale for a while - at least 5 months that I am aware. I also couldn't positively i.d. the color. IIRC, when I first saw it it was priced at $78K-ish. So, they're slowly bringing the price down, but given lack of options they may have a ways to go.

The fact that it doesn't have big options like the sport chrono or the sport seats doesn't really discourage me as I do plan to flash it, which will make up for it.
Looks to me like the car has either lower springs or coilovers, since I don't see much of a wheel gap...
Yea, I saw that it had been in there inventory for 5+ months, which doesn't exactly discourage me as I could use this to my advantage when it comes to negotiating the price. I'm going to ask the dealer to snap a pix of the model sticker under the hood, so I can decipher the paint code.

There is no model sticker under the hood. 997s came with the option sticker enclosed in the original paperwork. Most were attached it to the service manual of the car, but not all cars have them. Ask the dealer to check for you so you can see what options the car came with from the factory.
If that sticker is not available, then the paint code sticker is located on the inside of the gas cap door.

Great to hear, if I can find something with nearly the same miles or less but maybe with sport chrono/sport seats, I might be willing to look at it; but i'm partial to certain colors.

for that amount of money try to find one with OPTIONS!
