For those with 18" rims, what R tire size did you go with? 18" OZ and R888's from Tirerack sound like a decent track package (light rims and less expensive rubber). I have 20" for street, 19" snowwies....so 18" for the track seems like I'm getting good variety

Will 18" have the same performance as 19" with the same tire? I'd be interested in 18" if so.

The best 18" tire for the track plus allowing you to drive to the track on them is the Nitto NT01. Nitto is a Toyo company but the NT01 is a far greater tire than the Toyo R888.

245/40/18 and 305/35/18 is same overall outside diameter as your stock 19". These work awesome on 997 based cars.
