Car stalling out

I searched but I could not find anything relevant to what I am experiencing. This has now happened 3 times over the last 3 months, 2 of those times being in the last week. Put the car into reverse and start to back out and the car stalls, restart it and runs perfectly fine. Second times coming to a stop and put the clutch in, was not going fast at all 20 mph to a stop, car stalls. Restart car and all is well. Today in 2nd gear and turning a corner, clutch not in, car stalls. Restart and all is well.

Any idea what may be causing it to stall? Clutch feels fine, put it into 6th gear and mashed the gas and the RPM's do not jump. The car is due for plugs which I need to do very soon. I do have a CEL that has been on for sometime due to the exhaust, not sure if there are any other CELS registered except the cats.

Your best bet is to plug in a scanner and see if you are getting other codes. There could be lots of reasons why...with the scanner, at least you can narrow it down some.

I agree. I'll go get it scanned tomorrow and post my results.

Okay scanned the car and here are my codes;

P2099
P2097
P0430
P0420

I think that all of these are due to my exhaust. I installed a Fabspeed Ver. 3 with HJS 200 CEL Cats and it was fine for about 1500 miles and then it started to throw codes. Any other input?

Exhaust faults.... 2 option

1- Get a better exhaust (I had fabspeed and I hated)

2-Get the 4 (2 sets) 90 degree 02 spacers from fabspeed

Thanks!! I do not mind the exhaust but I am tired of the CEL. I will take a look at the spacers.

You have the version 3 (I had the 2) the version 3 should be louder.... So I guess is better....

The spacer should fix the problem

Do you smell gas, or do you smell some funky gas smell, after it dies/stalls?

Be sure you don't have a boost hose leak. My old 930 used to do that when the downpipe seal was leaking.
Inefficient cats will throw those codes but not cause the car to die, something else is going on. The exhaust itself is not the issue, rather the install if the boost hoses were no reinstalled correctly. IMO

No funky smells at all. I will recheck all the hoses but I am not experiencing any boost leak. It is getting a little choppy under high boost and higher RPM's, which lead me to believe that the plugs need to be changed.

That could be the issue too, usually a spark or fuel problem in these cases.
