Cargraphic vs Kline vs Speedtech

Gents,

I'm flip flopping back and forth trying to choose an exhaust. None of them are available local too me so I'm relying on YouTube videos and whatever info I can find. It's done to the following 3.

Kline DE-Cat
SpeedTech Race (No Cats)
Cargraphic Race

I'm looking for something decently loud. I like loud cars but I also want something that doesn't sound like the typical muffled low end turbo exhaust sound.

I like the Cargraphic the most I think but I'm wondering if it's too tame for my likes. Not a lot of videos out there for it. Can anyone comment on how loud it is?

The Kline hits a note I haven't really heard from a 911TT but again with a lack of media. You also hear absolutely no Turbo whistle in their videos/sound clips which i find odd for a free flowing de-cat system.

The SpeedTech I'm on the fence about. Doesn't seem to have much of a signature sound, but again I could be wrong based off just videos.

Help a struggling man out.

Cheers gents.

I have the Speedtech 2.5 Quiet 100 cell cats. My car is a 996 TT Cabriolet.

I definitely hear the turbos spooling.
Cold startup you can definitely hear a burble at idle. Definitely very noticeable. Once warmed up it's quieter at idle.
It's pretty docile at low rpm. A good sound above 4k and wails above 6k rpm.
Some good crackles and burbles on down-shifting.

My car definitely sounds and feels a lot more raw now; which is what I wanted.

I picked this one because I wanted as close as I could get to a GT3 type sound in a turbo.

My neighbor (a car aficionado) above me on the street can hear me every time I leave or come back. I revved hard a few times for him and he pronounced the sound as "sick!"

The race/catless will probably drone and will definitely sound more gutteral down low.

Have you tried listening to the videos with ear-phones on and sound turned up? When I was comparing sounds on youtube clips that helped a lot.

Good luck with your search!

That'd be great. A vendor has a pretty good deal on them right now though so I might have to pull the trigger pretty quick.

I definitely don't think the SpeedTech 2.5 Quiet will meet my tastes based on the name alone. Anything with the word "quiet" in the title. Appreciate the input though.

Majority of exhausts these days are sold by ID's. Manufactures really need to put a little more time/focus into their marketing and getting sound clips up that weren't recorded with a cell phone. That's just my opinion.

Man if you want a nice loud exhaust then what I have sounds lovely and you get a nice high pitch tone in the high revs.

FVD cat less with the TUV muffler good combo.

Auzzie,

We have seven sound levels available, which includes straight X-Pipes - if you go catless it doubles it to fourteen :-)

If you PM or email me with your sound goal, I can recommend a suitable option. Additionally, since the system is modular, we can easily and very inexpensively change the sound level completely after the initial purchase. If you purchase your system form us initially, we will be very accomodating shoulkd you wish to change the sound after you have tried it....This doesn't happen too often, as we normally get it right the first time, but on occasion a customer will regret a sound level choice and and remedy it.

BTW - The quiet is not that "quiet" and screams at WOT, it's nothing remotely close to OEM, just a very comfortable system and not attention getting unless you want it to be...

If you want loud - our 3" X-Pipe is glorious! It can be ordered either catted or catless.

I have the Cargraphic loud exhaust and I do love it, however, next time around I may go with Europipe as I am noticing rust where the welds are.

As far as loud goes, I am weary of putting too loud of an exhaust on the turbo as under full throttle these things tend to pop ear drums due to the woosh sound and not exhaust burble. It basically hurts my ears to go full throttle in a tunnel :-(

Cargraphic or europipe. I will buy it from you if you don't like. I'm sure you will appreciate it every time you start your car

So I missed the boat on the Cargraphic. Went to confirm the order and someone snagged the last one. If I find out who it was, lock your car up at night.

I'm now officially considering the FVD Brombacher Catless. I've got a quote on one that is very reasonable. There is also a 650PS+ version but I have no idea what the difference is. Piping sizes look the same in the specs.
What is the difference with the TUV muffler?

It complies with certain noise regulations so its quieter.
