Protomotive X-pipe

Hi everyone, I'm new here.

Had my '08 997tt for about 5 months now and so far I've done a Protomotive mafless tune, the IPD GT3 plenum/throttle body and just last week the Protomotive X-pipe catless exhaust.

I gotta say I'm loving the exhaust. I read a review from engine-guy who had reported some figment issues with his 996tt but with my 997tt I had no figment issues - off with the OEM, on with the Protomotive. There's no cat so you just unplug the rear O2 sensors from the car and you're up and running.

My car is a cab and i have noticed no drone. Turbo spool is clear and very audible, love it. WOT sounds like a choir of angels backed up by ACDC and Metallica combined, whilst plucking their angelic bass guitars to the tune of 'God Bless America'.

I was in Carlsbad the other day on CA101 and did a zero-90 launch from a red light, screamed passed an old VW bus and while I was sitting at the next red light the VW pulled alongside and the gentleman (must have been about 70) leaned out his window and said, in his classic SoCal surfer accent, "man that sounded BAD *** when you flew past me!".

Sweet.

Does the Protomotive exhaust hang below the rear bumper at all? I'd love to see a picture of it installed if possible.

Your driver side exhaust tips look uneven?

Just a quick note, that hole you see in front of each muffler is for the pre-cat O2 sensor. The post-cat O2 sensors are not used with this kit so you just unplug them from the car, access is easy from the engine bay near the engine mounts.

Then you will need your tuner to program out the post-cat O2 sensors.

Looks like driver's side on mine but passenger's on yours. Bob's really analytic about stuff like that. I think it's some form of OCD -- LOL. Not sure if the outside and inside tips have the same diameter (will have to check on that). That could enhance the droopiness look from certain angles. We may have to bend them a little to satisfy Bob.
