Mezger 6-speed joins the garage.
Long-time listener, first-time caller here. After a patient search for the right color/options, a new (to me) 997.1TT in the garage alongside the red '04 Lightning pickup. Just turned 14k mi and came with P40s to boot. For a long time I was tempted to go with a '10 so I could get the PDK, but in the end had to go classic GT1 block and a clutch. Let the mods begin...

Looks like a clean example. What's your first modifications going to be? Nice lighting by the way too, neighbor had one and that was a rocket ship.

Thanks everybody. This forum is a great roundtable. First mod will likely be cosmetic with mechanical benefits. I need to do a little research ahead of having a clear bra installed. Would like added protection for the radiators (for example, screens similar to the nose on a GT3/RS, etc) and the added benefit of the radiator discharge would be good. I can't imagine trying to manage a splitter on city streets though; the existing rubber lip is tough enough -- although fortunately cheap to replace.

Jerry -- couldn't reply to your PM because my post count is low (that's the price for a couple years watching 6speed from the sidelines, ha.) I used to be stationed at Robins AFB but am in OKC now. Still have a wife and house in middle GA though, and plan to drive to the Porscheplatz at Petit LeMans this fall -- there are always a ton of cars in the corral there, and typically a club "parade" lap on Friday.
