Mahle 3.8ltr slip fit pistons and liners,
Carrillo rods,
Shrick cams,
Gt3 RsR motorsport oil pump,

The rest is all new OEM parts.

By end of tomorrow they reckon the engine will be fully stripped and cleaned.

I'm still running it in but here is a vid of me just driving off from a friends house.

It sounds awesome.

And here is a pic of the engine bay.

I must say the guys at FVD did a great job with the build and worked on the engine solid for me to get it finished in a short space of time.

I had a great time watching them do the build and being able to take pics of the masters at work which I feel very fortunate for.

I just cannot wait to get the car run in and the ECU remapped for full power as it's on a safety map for now.

What I do know is it feels like a different breed now it is so torquey its unreal and it only hits a bar max under load so I can only imagine what it will be like when it is finished off.

Congrats Nick. Sounds great and I am sure it is a different animal. Looking forward to seeing the dyno results as I am considering a similar build.

Great job!! And thanks for all the pictures. What kind of a break-in process are you going to follow and what oil are you running. It's really amazing watching this all come together. Will wait for your performance report.

Very nice!

I need to do the same.

What head studs and gasket did you use?

How many days did FVD needed to rebuild the engine?

I'm doing up to a 1000miles on a 10w 40 mineral oil.

I did the first change including oil filter between 30-40 miles just to makes sure everything was okay then reset the counter.

Then today I did one at 250miles including filter and still everything is fine no lumps of metal

So now I will do 400miles till next change including filter and then the same again so that will take me up to the 1000miles mark or just over.

Then I will switch the oil to 0w 40 fully synthetic and drive to Germany for the software upgrade.

This is the longest 1000miles of my life

FVD recommended I use the stock Gaskets and studs as ***** said "Porsche know what they are doing".

They did look after me as they did something they don't usually which was build it in 5 days but ***** told me it's usually minimum 2 weeks turnaround.

Another thing you have to remember they give you a 2 year guarantee on the build as long as you are using their turbos etc...etc...
