it's your decision and i respect it... you were respectful enough to ask me before you close it... and i respect that... but i really think we need to have our own thread to express our point of view... i had 4 different exhausts in my car... why my opinion is not valid?

We can't post in Cannga's thread...because he gets "upset" if we don't agree with his opinions... he even told me that my opinion is not important because of my hearing problems...

 

Hi guys. I have sold many systems for the 993, 996 and 997TT's over the years. This includes CG and EP which are great for the right people. There are after all may flavors. Drone is subjective as is sound/level taste. Some guys love the sound of straight pipes and some say it sounds like a tractor.

I CAN tell you I have recently done many Kline systems with great results and happy customers. I am impressed with how they have a great sound level at full throttle, progressive pitch and minimal to no drone when cruising. Hand designed, build and hand packed by experienced guys who apply the proper science to it. The price AND quality is right in my opinion here.

I have a 997TT system with a 6Speeders name on it if anyone would like to try it. Special price as well. I will stand behind the system! In fact any system I sell because I think a representatives job is to help you choose correctly.

FWIW I just bought a Kline off ebay, I'll try to get some before/after sound clips. Since I havent heard any other systems on a 997tt I can only compare with oem.

 

Sam are you the same guy on Ebay (I think your nickname is Sambott? I think I bought the Fabspeed "cold air intake" from you... And you also told me that "you will stand behind that air intake" guess what? That system was a horrible idea.... Specially for people who lives in Miami, Fl (Hot weather)

You have great prices but man!! That hot air intake was a disaster!!!

By the way you will never gain +17-21HP with this air intake...

I'm glad there is another affordable good exhaust for the 997TT! I hear nothing but good things about it! My only question is what type of catalytics are they using to make this exhaust?

If this exhaust is made in Easter Europe is not a bad thing... I believe Akrapovic is made in Easter Europe and is one if the best exhaust for every sport car & Motorcycle in the market!

 

With all due respect I'm calling BS on the drone is subjective claim. Exhaust note is subjective but drone is certainly not. Car manufacturers know what it is as do OEM exhaust manufacturers so you are telling me it is subjective? Please, enough already.

You are also indicating "minimal" to no drone? Now this is exactly what I was referring to in my earlier post on page 1. That statement really concerns me as I've heard other AM exhaust manufacturers make that claim as well only to be later complained by a percentage of users that then seek to rid the system for another that doesn't. It is finding one that doesn't that has proven to be the real problem which is where EP stands out.

On the tractor sound, I have found that it is not some that make that claim, it is most that make that unbiased assessment outside of the owner and his group of particular friends. So if someone says it sounds like a sick tractor on the outside then it more than likely does to most.

Thankfully the Kline does not have that issue!

 

Hi Leo. Yes that's me and I remember you. I made a comment here about the Kline...But regarding your post, Fabspeed is another company who I stand behind and have had great feedback for. Yes I do this because this is when I feel it's right. This is a reason why people come back to me. I do enjoy what I do and I care. My description is right off their sight and I believe their claims. Yes I have seen reports of hotter temps causing issues but I have also seen great general results. As for your experience, If you would have told me about it I would have stood behind my claims and done something about it for you. Looks like that car is behind you now. Nice Lambo. Sorry it did not work for you.

 

Speed, if you get it hot enough the factory makes a "drone" too. A humm or range where the exhaust note cannot be fully masked. Just my .02. I am not calling you out or claiming BS. I say "minimal to no" just to not offend anyone. As you know this has been debated for years and still will long after this thread. We won't solve it here. I have see n the claims as well. It depends who is making them I guess. Unfortunately they are often BS. I am putting my rep on the fact that with Kline it's not. If Stef at EP tells me something I won't think twice. Some others I will, you know? Is EP awesome and does it have "little to no drone"? Yes sir. I had an EP2 Quiet on my 996TT for a while. Is Kline awesome-er? I am not saying that. I am just saying that it's a great system for the price and I will stand behind anyone wanting to give it a serious try. That's all. It has a unique tone and response to boost without making the car "too loud". Because I know SO MANY 6Speeders who want to try something but are afraid of not being supported and losing out on $. Also so many who have had several systems based on claims and no support. We have options. There are many flavors for most all mods on these cars. Not even just exhaust. I'm just trying to help out.

If it wasn't worthy I would not put myself into these situations lol. Everyone take a breath.

By the way Can, yours is another nice system that some people can find fault with. Choices everyone.

 

In reference to where they are made...Europe, Romania. Very talented guys doing work by hand. For example you will not find too many fabricators who can work with Inconel. Especially on full systems. Or custom build to spec.

Understand your position. You evidently can tell the difference between a Kline and an EP and I respect that. There are differences that separate these two as you would know and the different price points as you would also know. It appears at the outset you have a decent system with the Kline and it evidently stands above so many others out there for a whole lot less money so best of luck with it!

I will look forward to the reviews and hopefully this thread will provide that means.

 

The big difference appears to be the 100 cell cats in the Europipe. On top of that they are HUGE. I'm glad someone is coming in with a more competitive price though.

 

So you think he did all the marketing? OR do you tihnk he just took the info from fabspeed?

 

The problem with exhausts I think is there are so few without drone ( my stock one has a bit of it) that people dont want to spend 4000+ for drone. You can probably slap some magnaflows and get the same drone.

Can you address the heatshield or lack of it with Kline?

And BTW, nothing against Can , but I think its clear that everything he happens to have on his car is the best and there is no option

 

It doesn't matter what I think or not... That air intake is bad and we all know that... that info is wrong, BS so he is repeating some BS....

Why would I believe what he say in the future if he screw me one time...?

So complain to fabspeed, do you think all retailers go dyno everything in their shops? If you did your research you would know that a CAI in most cases doesnt do a thing.
Then again you traded your TT because you didnt like the sound for a slower, yet flashier car. NOT A KNOCK ON YOU. To each their own and I completely understand you being upset on the CAI but I dont think its the retailer you should be mad at, you should be mad at Fabspeed for coming up with bad numbers.


As to threads being locked I dont think people reading always understand the point of view of those posting things. It is PERFECTLY fine to have a desire to have sound and show over go. Or its fine to have a guy looking for a High HP number with no idea what to do with all that HP, he might be looking for a number, that is fine. Then there are guys that feel Porsche built a great car as it sits and every option from the dealer is a must have and everyone that changes things or doesnt get selected options they are fools.
Then there are skeptics like myself that would rather others test things for us then we buy based off the growing pains of others, that is lousy I admit but its still fine.
The point is I Think readers of threads should understand or try to learn the point of view the poster or responder holds. Then hit the reply button.
Someone might not care they are adding 50pounds to each wheel because they are building a show car. That doesnt mean the are fools or trying to be offensive. Just means they have placed looks over function which int he show car world is what you do.
