Thanks for the info. The guys at WMS said it was a 110 UNLEADED tune so I ended up buying 110 unleaded in 5 gallon pails which ended up being really expensive. There's a place 2 miles from my house that sells 100 and 104 unleaded at 1/4th the price. Your post is great news for my wallet. Just to verify, you've never done a 110 unleaded file either?

THanks!

We have done a 110 leaded file for a competition, but I don't believe it has ever been offered publicly. We see great results with unleaded 104, and this is typically what I recommend for those utilizing the race file.

OK question for you guys. I installed the check valve yesterday and dove about 20 miles so far and I just got error code B1902 "Turbocharger Underboost". My Durametric says boost below lower limit value. Does it mean boost leak somewhere? On the stock gauge, boost seems to be fine and the car pulls strong. Why did I get this code? Please help!

No idea, but on the bright side, if there is a problem, maybe the car will pull even harder once fixed.

Is it even possible to put 100 octane with 91 pump map?
Any gain with pump map?

One question for Thomas, Is pump map consider as 91 map?
I have pump map but I only put 93. Is there any difference between 91 and 93 octane?
When running with either 91 or 93, is there any difference in terms of power gain?

Thanks

Yes I ran the 91 tune with a blend of 5 gallons 91 oct and 10 gallons of 100 oct and there was a noticeable power difference as the dynamic nature of the ECU allows for higher boost/timing targets even when tuned when higher octane levels are introduced. GIAC can provide more details on this as my understanding is very basic.

Finally ran with my friend's 997TT. Yes, IPD plenum works!
These two short videos tells everything. First video, I was in the camera car with passenger(please ignore her laughing). My friend also had a passenger too on that run. I had Softronic tune with Fabspeed exhaust and he had GIAC tune with AWE Tuning exhaust. So basically we had a same mods except different tuners and brand. As you can see, I lost about 2 cars at the end of run(~130mph). I was embarrassed about the difference!

After I installed IPD plenum last week and we ran again. This time we didn't have passengers and took the video from another car(other friend's GTR). My car was on left and his was on right. We were almost dead even. Tried few runs with the same result. So the plenum should have made 25~35whp as IPD advertised. What a small big improvement for such a small change! IPD rocks!

It is certainly possible, and as Longboarder said you will see a slight performance gain (albeit a smaller one than running the dedicated 100 octane race file). For the 997.1, the pump files are specific to octane availability. This means that your installer will give you the correct file that matches your region's premium fuel. So in your case, you will have a 93 octane pump file.

The 93 octane file does make more power than the 91 octane file. Typically, we see another 15-20 wheel horsepower with 93 octane.

Hey Luke, since I cleared the code it hasn't come back yet. I still don't know why I had this code. Maybe false alarm?

Are the gains in HP and torque similar for the 997.2 Turbo?
