Who is the crazy bastard ...........

.................that past me on the Meadowbrook Pky in a Blue Turbo at 5:30 AM this morning.

I wish I had the ***** to take my Turbo to work in this crap.

Please tell me what wheel/Tire set up you were running!

Anyone else drive their 911 Turbo in these blizzard like conditions. I would have thought the power would make it very difficult to hook up even with snow tires.

I was in an SUV, following in tracks of someone before me, and he passed me on the right like nothing.

Be safe today brother.

That is great - not me today. But I have driven in this stuff over the last bunch of storms and really love the traction. I'm not passing many people, but never in fear of losing control...

Winter driving in 911 = disaster and salt. Always worried about someone sliding into the car, texting and not paying attention, salt or other truck losing control and smashing into me. In the middle of wide open nowhere it can be fun for a little snow mischief. Otherwise... forget about it for me.

I have driven a Targa 4S on that setup, and it was fantastic.

I found out that the summer tires are useless under 45-50 degrees. They just don't hook up properly and the car slides where is normally would track perfectly./

This is the setup I've got on my turbo. We just got about a foot of fresh powder over the last two days and I've had great traction/control. Actually, I'm probably getting a little bit TOO overconfident so I gotta watch myself.

What I love is when an SUV decides to come next to me thinking I'm just going to crawl away from the light and end up just taking off. Fun times (although i'm careful!)

911 Turbo is winter car, good example is ski-box possibility from factory
911tt goes fast warm, have heated seats and good 4x4. Only bad thing is ride height when you go bad roads.
I drive 911tt every winter about 4000 miles with snow and it is certainly better winter car than any 2wheel drive car.
If you drive with snow(or rain) and arent good driver, do not turn on the sports button, the car will have more rear-drive and stability control will let the car slip through much more. And ofcoors you need good winter tires, do not drive any car with summer tires.
