Led fog conversion
Hi...Yes, I have used them with no issues (and what is pictured and currently installed). Actually tried various sets to see what I liked, and they all worked. If you DO NOT get the ones that have the CAN circuit, they will definitely give you an error as you said.
Not sure why yours is giving you issues. You can always add 6 OHM 50 Watt resistors to trick it if you cannot get one to work.
Good luck!

Exactly. And MUCH less heat than xenons. I wouldn't do a xenon fog light conversion.
GTRNICK:
Do you have a picture of your .2 Fog Lamps at night head-on?. The replacement LED bulbs I have in are balanced quite nicely (color temperature) with the headlights. However, they really do not throw out much real usable light...they seem more cosmetic. The stock halogens were noticeable when turning on while night driving from inside the car. The LED's not so much. Not sure if its just because the DRL's are so bright that they might just be over powering the fogs?
Thoughts?

Your welcome DC. I suppose you can buy this kit if you did want the DRL feature. http://www.fvd.us/us/en/Porsche-0/99...997_Turbo.html Or this if you already have the fogs. http://www.fvd.us/us/en/Porsche-0/99...g_feature.html
WTF Ridiculously expensive in my opinion can't believe it???????? Well, I better get use to it, right......
I forgot to mention that while 997.1 fog lights were helping you to light the road 997.2 oem fog lights are simply cosmetic...they wont make any difference in road lighting....but they will make your car look way better at night...
^^^ Thanks for the heads-up. I was researching 997.2 LED fog lamps earlier today and was planning on buying some on Monday. Guess I'll just stick with the LED's I have installed for now.
That's amazing. Worth spending the 60 to improve the look. Better off spending the money on an hid conversion than $1k on the .2 conversion then.
I just did the led bulb swap fogs very reasonable probably at least a year ago & used the Usps ones there sponsor here & have been fine so far also the Vivid DRL about couple years old no problems ,led side markers from Usps where the easiest to do ,Dectane rear Leds off Ebay at least 2 to 3 yrs ago no problems either & just did the 997.2 headlight conversion. To be honest i forget to turn on the fogs most of the time.

Sure...Not the best photo but you get the idea. The bulb is H3, you get the LED and you need to reverse the polarity....they fit the same other than that.

How did you get the led strip and bottom fog to be on at the same time ? on my 997.2 if i turn the FOGs on the DRL LED turn off.
Not sure who installed yours? The DRL's should be wired to an ignition activated power source, unrelated to the fogs, or any other lights. Perhaps they were somehow wired to engage with the fog's?
It is pretty straightforward, so if you have the issue, perhaps see if that happened? The blinker/DRL strip has one harness to act a a blinker (normally), and and additional wire for DRL, that keeps the white LED's on while the car is on. Again, totally separate from anything on the fog light (unless it was wired that way).
Hope this helps...

Hi there...
Not sure if there is something different with YOUR car, but the cheap ones in the link HERE will typically work fine. You need "Canbus - Error Free T-10 W5W" bulbs to correctly replace the oem side markers. I have used a host of these (like the ones in the link) with no issues.
On your second part. I assume you are using, or have used Durametric or PSTII or PIWIS to code the side markers to act as blinkers? When you do so, you can ONLY have one or the other....They are either on all the time (running lights), OR act as blinkers...But they will not do both.
Hope this helps.

I finally installed the LED Canbus-Error Free T10 W5W you had directed me to. They are working perfectly...NO ERRORS...FINALLY!!!!
Thanks for the tip. Can't wait to see how they look tonight.
Take care,
