Thanks for the answers Airjoe and samboTT, and please excuse what is probably a very basic question.
What is the advantage of the 100 over the 200 cats? Is it just sound or is there a distinct performance difference because of reduced back pressure?

All other things being equal, 100 cell will flow a little better (might be worth a few hp), be a little louder, and thereby have an increased chance of drone.

Again, don't know about other exhausts, but EP has 100 cell and absolutely no drone.

That answers my question, makes my decision easy. My first mod will be exhaust, and most likely Kline. Thanks

It seems like the Softronic tune gives you more HP than FVD but compare for yourself....

Not at all. I got you covered either way on whatever you need...And I will make the cat decision easy for you after 2 min on the phone. Then would still swap 'em if you needed.

The problem with CA is when you change the cats you run a good chance of failing your smog test even without a CEL light on and then having to spend hours putting back the old stuff or $$$ at the dealer doing it. You don't even want to get caught by CHP with a modified exhaust and having to go to the state referee every year to get your car smogged.

I just knew that there had to be a good reason not to live in CA
SamboTT, I sent a PM yesterday, but since I don't have many posts, I'm not sure it went through.

Unfortunately, The saying "you have to pay to play" takes on a new meaning in this state in many more ways than emission!

As for my customers. I have got your back with several options. We have to make it work around here so we can still have fun and not drive around air pumps .

kwik...Almost there...for now paste it to an email
