EVOMS Built 4.0L 997TT "Mayhem" Driven by EVOMS partner Mike Paridis - Dynoexelixis of Greece sets new standing 1/2 mile Porsche record at 217.09 MPH at 1.9 bar of boost. This is about 2 MPH faster than last years’ time of 215.xx MPH. The engine is capable of running 2.5 bar of boost but traction was a serious issue at the 1.9 bar boost setting. Wow looked drama free with short shifting. Is this car now AWD? Saw it a while ago at Shift-S3ctor and this is why I now have a TT.

 

Thanks for your kind words and your bias! These projects are invaluable to us as learning and experimentation tools. Lessons learned from this car are why the EVT775 and GT775 kits exist, and that knowledge is being used to evolve the species all the way down to simple stage 1 software.

The transmission is a dogbox sequential transmission, which dramatically improves shifting. The shifts are much quicker, with reduced lag/recovery time and they upset the car less. It is back to AWD with a 996 mechanical front/center differential.

 

This car is an absolute beast!!! John builds one hell of an engine!
