Driving Mode Poll

Just wanted to see what the percentage of each driving mode you guys usually are in.

I am still learning the TTS so far two days in, regular mode 60%, 30% sport and 10% sport plus (way too much for me) until I attend Porsche driving school in a few months.

20% normal, 75% sport, 5% sport plus. I usually choose between sport and normal based on speed. Town roads at 25-30mph are a bit jumpy in Sport, and getting on the freeway in regular mode is a wasted opportunity. I only use sport plus occasionally, the redline-shifting feels a bit excessive.

15% normal, 85% Sport (basically once warmed up, I hit the "Sport" button). I tried Sport Plus once, it shifted way too late for my driving conditions - reserved for track duty.

Also thought I'd add that I use PDK Auto 95%, Manual-paddle shifter 5%. This may change as we enter the warmer months and I engage in more spirited driving!

sport mode 99% of the time for better throttle response (sport mode off in the rain for delayed throttle and more power to the front wheels)
suspension on "soft" 90% of the time. i let my sway bars do the work.

So far sport mode is my favorite. There is so much to learn about this beast's potential.

Wow, you guys must not have the total crap roads we have here in SoCal! I use sport mode when having fun in the canyons, but regular mode when just cruising from point A to B. Luckily for me, I drive the canyons almost every day!

90% Sport, 5% Normal, 5% Sport Plus!

Normal when i'm stuck in traffic only

Sport plus when i'm the first at a red light and something fast is next to me

Otherwise, always on Sport mode.

Nice thread! I was also curious about this

Down shift blip! Mmmm well unless im not hearing it correctly, its very different from my e60 M5 where down shifting means rev matching and darn that sounds sweeeet! I don't think pdk does rev matching, or if it does, its not as exciting as the SMG gear box in M5.

It seems so my brother had a 2010 M6 and his seems to blip rev match better and more distinctive. I still enjoy PDK down shift blip nevertheless because I could never do it right when I had my manual 997 C4S.

I'm in a tuned TT, and it's a daily driver with 80% normal... with 20% sport mode (tuned). I have to have all my senses switched on when I press that button, as in wet Vancouver it's easy to find myself in a momentary 4 wheel drift very quickly with a blip of a throttle.
