Had re-11 tires burned on a track day

Today I went to track autodromspb
It is only 1km length and has many turns. 1 ring is about 50sec to go. From the second ring I 've realized that's it is becoming harder to turn and stop. I made 1 cool down ring and then start pushing again. The grip last only for 5-6 turns, and the tires flow =(
when I've stoped I sow this

I thought my tires suite for track days, and can last at least for 5-7 minutes hard driving. Am I rong? Now I am thinking for changing Bridgestones Re-11 to Michelin Sport Cup 2! Are they better?

Those bits of rubber are "marbles". They peel off hot tires during hard cornering and braking.

DOT R tires and slicks do this all time. Street tires tend not to do this.

Drive over marbles on the track with hot tires and they will stick to your tires. Those bits you are seeing may be from other car's tires.

I run RE-11s all day on the track and they are very good, they get greasy after 22 or so minutes if you are trying to get that sweet spot of PSI. But the key to good traction is knowing air pressure. In a heavy turbo, I happen to find 38-40 HOT will have tires last the best for a session. That chunk of rubber is not your tire but from rubber on the track picked up

I would recommend starting with a cold psi of 30 lbs all the way around. Tires usually raise 6 to 8 lbs during a session.
