Racelogic performance box and accuracy

How accurate is the racelogic vbox? I just received mine and tested it yesterday and my best was 0-60mph in 3 seconds and 1/4 mile in 11.2 seconds at 122.9mph. Can I trust these numbers and use them as bragging rights or will I be shamed when I do go to the track?

I have a 2008 997.1tt tip and the only mod is a softronic ECU flash, 93 octane.

It's more accurate than some 1/4 miles tracks! One big difference is usually trap speed. VBOX reads 1 or2 mph higher since it measures actual speed at the end of the 1/4 vs. a 100 foot trap at the end of the 1/4 at the tracks. Having said that, it's within 1% accuracy for me and the local tracks.

^^ 100% right on.

Your Vbox ET times will be very very close to a 1/4 mile track.

Whenever I am on the track my Vbox MPH and et are about .1 and 1mph slower than when I am on the street. I think it has to do with the sticky prepped surface.

Brag away!

Also, go ahead and upload your Vbox data into this graphing software. It will show you an amazing amount of data. http://www.vboxtools.com/

Verified p/vBox acceleration data the only type accepted on this site (and others) for 60-130mph and 100-200kpm times. Car magazines use it. And as others have said, it will typically provide for 1-2mph higher 1/4 mile traps because the drag strip will average the mph over the last 100 ft but the vBox will provide terminal speed.

The vBox also has 1-foot roll-out option that is also what the drag strips use. However the 1-foot option should not be used for 0-60 times because it will end up being slightly better. However, the magazines seem to enable the 1-foot roll out method and is why they get such good 0-60 times.

Saw on their site that they have a VBOX Sport, seems nice, uses iPhone/iPad for screen (if you want) and has an updated 20Hz gps receiver (The Performance/VBOX used a 10Hz).

I should have got the VBOX sport, but I just ordered the performance.

Man these cars are fast, I feel like the King of the Road when I driving with the numbers to prove it

Their fast alright... Did you check off the 1 ft. rollout on the main menu? This will make it closer to what is actually happening at the track

Will a good exhaust put me under 3seconds 0-60 and under 11seconds 1/4mile? With the softronic ECU I have a slight delay with the tip changing gears, it that wasn't a factor I believe it would shave some time off.

As always we speed freaks like to push the limits

If that is the case you are under 3 seconds already... Keep in mind most magazine use the 1 ft rollout C&D, Road and Track... You can take .2 to .3 seconds off you 0-60. Try it again and post the new result here. Would love to see the results. Also at the track there is up to 1 ft before you hit the beams.
