The high's are nice with the system but the midrange bass and subs distort pretty bad when you try to get a little kick. I'll have to see how hard it will be to just swap the midrange and sub speakers and leave everything else stock as my 'modified' turbo setup was much better with no distortion. Even though I now have all the modern bells and whistles with the system the sound isn't what I had in the turbo!
So, did you leave your system in the car?

Meridian makes some incredible gear. I'd be curious how it sounds. The exhaust on the jag is awesome though.

Yep, left the old system in the car. I had sold off the stock speakers, so I had nothing to replace them with.

I agree with you on Meridian, however there are many F-Type owners on the Jaguar forum that complain about midrange and sub bass distortion in these cars, and that they have to turn the midrange and sub bass levels under the preset factory settings to avoid distortion. Pretty pathetic that they would 'settle' on the current setup for the premium audio $1200 option which my car has. Our Ford Explorer JBL system's bass sounds much better than my F-type.

I'm sure a speaker sway would help however I can't seem to find the factory speaker sizes listed anywhere, not even on crutchfield.

Hopefully someone will start tinkering and post a thread similar to your Budget Audio one.

Until then I'll just put up with up and try and enjoy the exhaust note!

Bummer! Bad audio is a bummer. You would need to be the Guinea pig like I was, no one is doing too much with those cars. I think the tricky thing is pulling the panels. You'd need a guide to taking them off first.
