Broken crank pulley pin!

Hello guys how are you!

Need some serious help my crank pulley came off and I'm about to install my new pulley at the dealership! But unfortunately when they came to install it they found out the pin from the previous pulley is broken inside. What should I do as they seem to say I need to pen up my engine and change the crank, but I here solutions outs there such as drilling it out! Can you please help with your recommendations, this is really getting to my nerves and I really don't know what to do please find attached photo!

Thanks guys...

They should be able to drill it out... I doubt they will need to open up the engine for that

AudiOn19s is infamous around these parts
if you're lucky they may be able to get it out with the use of a strong magnet. It'll likely spin in the bore if you try to drill it out.

although it dose look like the crank spun on the pully creating some damage and shearing off the pin in the process so that damage may prevent the pin from coming out as it should.

all you can do is try to drill it out. hope that the drill bites and grabs it and allows you to pull it out. if you can't get it out then pulling the crank is the only alternative

same thing happened to me - GOOD LUCK drilling that thing out - it must be some forged super strong metal went through several bits .. no scratch on the pin itself. Although i did realize while trying to drill it out - it was loose. Turbo Mike (IPD) had a unique toy/tool it was a spring loaded punch - kept on tapping zapping it . it finally came out. Replaced with BBI pulley. Back on the road.

I think if the damage is done - damage is done you have to open her up any way. but if you can get the the pin out and all is fine afterwards; you are fine .

just depends. on the lowly clutch fork i wanted to drill a small 6/32 hole. started with a common carbide bit. no luck. tried a diamond tipped bit . no way. took it to a tool and die shop and after 2 titanium drill bits managed to get a hole in it. case hardened parts can be almost impossible to drill. pin may be that way

to the op if you can't get the pin out you have to split the case to get the crank out for repair.
