Nuisance CEL: Ambient temperature sensor

So this is the third time I get a CEL: Of coarse, if I didn't have a durametric, I'd be at the shop in a flash.
Turns out it tells me "Ambient temperature sensor:implausible signal". So I reset it and alls well till I floor the car and it starts all over. This time I looked at the temperature: 66.5C.
Ok a little research and the sensor is located on the passenger side in the air duct. It is not there. So if has fallen behind somewhere and I guess when I floor the car, it moves and touches a rad.
So my question: how do I access it? I don't have a lift so getting under the front to remove the pan will be tough. Can you get to the rad via the trunk?
Also, why put up a cel?? Porsche should just log it as a warning and not display a cel.

CEL or just a warning light? CEL usually a more serious problem most likely emissions-related.

Cel. The motor light comes on, and the display says to visit shop.
I checked all the modules on the durometric and that's the only one. Clearing it clears the display.
Perhaps the computer uses this sensor to determine some running parameters?

Porsche can be nice as to warranty depending on the dealer.

Hi
It seems that I cannot push it in the hole. It needs to be unplugged from the cable, pushed in the hole and then connected from the back. Can anyone verify this?
