In a nutshell, I prefer the driving dynamics of the GT3 over the Turbo. I prefer the power and torque with the PDK of the turbo over the n/a high revving engine of the GT3. Not too mention the stiff clutch of the GT3 in traffic got old.

I hated the CL wheels of the GT3 and refused to get a Turbo with them. Wheels are far cheaper in the traditional 5 lug.

As a daily driver the Turbo wins hands down.

I hope to put on the GMG springs and F&R sway bars to get the suspension more pointed towards what the GT3 was like.

Thanks for the explanation of the differences.

There are a couple of shops like GMG and BBi that can and have designed complete suspension systems for the 997.2 Turbo which will allow for it to handle like the GT-cars. However I don't think springs and sways will do it for you. If you are not tracking, then it's cool. But if you used to track your GT3, the Turbo with springs and sways, even with a perfect corner balance alignment and race tires, will be a far cry from your GT3.

I might do 2-3 events a year at most now. I'm not as in to it as I once was. So as long as it gets me "close" I'll be happy.

Cool I will be interested in hearing your impressions of the differences in the two cars if you do track the Turbo with the springs/sways.

Frankly I'm disappointed in the handling of the Turbo and working with BBi to dial in something that makes it handle like a GT2.

Longboarder, I am anxious to hear what you come up with on the suspension set up.
I concur with your earlier comments about the springs and bars. A good friend and serious car enthusiast put this exact set up on his .1 turbo and hated it. It lasted less than two weeks until removal. From my experience the coil overs are the way to go any your choices go from expensive to more expensive. Just like anything, you have to pay to play!
