30k service - now loss of power/boost?

Hey guys, I just picked my car up from a 30k service which included replacing the spark plugs.

On my way home from the dealership (1 1/2hrs away mind you) I noticed my car sounded a little different and seemed to lack power. According to the stock boost gauge I was maxing out around 5 - 6psi. I have a stage 2 Cobb tune on the car and should be seeing WAY more boost than that.

So I turned around and dropped my car back off right before they closed for the night.

Anyone have any ideas what they could have done wrong? I didn't get a CEL of any kind. I did stop and check to make sure my Cobb tune was still installed and it was. I'm thinking boost leak somewhere but would love to hear some other opinions.

sounds like you have a boost leak.

They probably did not connect the intercooler or Y piping correctly.

Agree, boost leak is most likely culprit.

sounds like boost leak - happened to me last week when they forgot to tighten the y-pipe hose. BTW, if it happens to anyone DO NOT keep stomping on the throttle as you could overspin the turbos

Makes you wonder how a dealer puts a car on the road without a proper road test.

Dealers are terrible at getting intercooler piping right. Definitely a boost leak.

How does it feel to drive a 4S with noise?

You have a boost leak.

When replacing my exhaust I didn't completely get a snap on one of the intercooler hoses and had similar results. Easy fix, no major issues except what RIX had to say, who delivers a car without fully verifying it?

I would also guess a boost leak. Let us know what you find!

And the winner is... boost leak. I guess one of the intercooler hoses was loose. Everything is good now.

Do you happen to know where it was loose? This may help others with a more common place to check when experiencing the same issue.

I was told that one of the connections to an innercooler was connected, but loose. That is all that I know.
