That is correct. The 997SSK will have a throw about 15% or so shorter than the GT or cup shifter. The reason is that those cars have the shorter transmission mounted shift lever which effectively shortens the throw of those shifters. Due to the lack of counter weights which add inertia to the "shift" on the TT, the feel of the shifter is different on the GT/cup cars, a little notchier but with more direct feel. I'll try to find and post a picture of the two levers for comparison.
