well, I got id1000's already installed and running e85. I'm thinking of upgrading to the 68's but want to know if I'll need the id1300's or if the 1000's will be ok. As you know, installing injectors aren't the funnest thing to do on this engine!

I've been running 1000 with 65mm vtgs for over a year making 650-700 awhp, obviously some variance in the dynos, but it isn't less than 650.
I've still got the 80# injectors from Todd, on 67mm vtgs and e85. With a 5bar, i'm 100% completely out of fuel in my tune - to the point that I dont like going to redline for fear of my engine. Just get the 1300s and be safe if you plan to use e85.
1300's are the safe bet. I still have more fuel in my setup with 65mm vtg's, but I'm going upgraded pumps, turbos, etc. etc. and doing 1300cc myself. I'm also on a stock regulator.
I tuned my car on E85 today. Stock turbos, but added the AMS intercoolers. It made great power. Really a great fuel. Took a bunch of measurements today as well. Got some cool info coming. Just need to get one more measurement and we will post up the info.

Jokes aside - I'm just giving Mitch a hard time. My car has been running e85 and his tune for a year without problems. I've done road race, 1/2 mile events, autocross, etc - no problems.
Anyway here is a bit of data. Lots more but I figure I would share this. Rix I am sorry to hijack but I promise I will make my own thread in the next day, but I figure its good info so hopefully you don't mind
We have been doing a bit of testing, as we never stop developing here. I was able to get a nice E85 tune worked out and here is some data on the fuel system.
I have stock fuel pumps on Cobb 1000cc injectors. Here you can see how well the stock pumps are working even on E85.
You can see in the second graph the linear following of the fuel pressure relative to manifold pressure. This is just to show a bit more correct 1:1 ratio.
Texas Invitational got pushed back to May, so looks like I have some more time to sharpen up my knife for the gunfight! As for E85 injectors, I would suggest just getting the new ID1700s and being done with it. The latency is so fast on them they will idle fine.
Looks great Mitch, I am getting my car back Thursday with the new plugs/coils so hopefully I'll have more to report. It hasn't gotten hot here yet so I should be able to get some good 60-130 data.
Also, is this a 6MT because if it is you have the best shifts 3rd-4th gear ever.....
The 5.99 s 60 to 130 mph shows how efficient the 997 is at higher power levels and gearing as you do a really quick 100-130 on a run where your 60-100 mph is slower than my car (E85-996TTS) which does 60-130 0.5 s slower
Sorry I missed this - yes it is a 6 speed. I have been banging gears for a few years so I have a little practice.
