Engine clearance
Since my motor is not in, and I am building some brackets.. can somebody tell me the distance b/w the intake cross brace and the rear deck? aka, how much space do I have to mount stuff on top of the brace or below that deck?

Wish I had a picture.. if I did I could probably guess clearance

Basically, if you kneel a little and look into your engine bay, you will see a metal brace that connects the drivers side and passenger side intake manifolds (above throttle body).. its a thin stainless brace. I need the distance from that to the top of the engine bay. My guess is the gap is roughly 1".

Thankya. I will probably end up having the motor in/out more than once before I am done so it may not be a big deal.. but it would be nice to get this bracket right the first time.

I am at my office now, but if you look in some of my DIY docs available on this site, I am pretty sure there are some pictures that may help? I am thinking the Spark Plug, Intercoolers, or Inlet Ducts DIY's should have at least one?

Maybe an inch tops. Difficult to remove that brace with the two torx bolts atop.

i have the same vacuum block mounted on top of the brace and it fits fine

yea... I was worried it would be too close :-/ so i spent a little time ghettoing up some brackets.
