DME Report Help.

Once again I turn to the experts here. No clue on how to read a DME report. How is this one looking? I would appreciate anyone giving me a brief idea of what I am looking at and how to read it. Thanks in advance.

Just do a search for the ranges. Range 4 ignitions, not the end of the world, but the car can't be CPO's. A ton of range 1s, so I would make the call that the car has been driven hard. For me, I would pass. For others, some would claim the cars are meant to be driven. I just feel like I should be doing the driving, not the prior owner! What kind of car?

Your good, I have over 200 range 4's on my car. I never abused my car and it runs very strong today. Range 5 or possibly 6, different story.

So taking your advice, no one should buy the car when you are done with it? lol

I wonder how many great cars get passed up on because people worry about these things.

If you like the other attributes of this car, I would certainly not let this Over-rev report deter your purchase. If the car is tuned (which I suspect it is)...you will add many more 1s, 2s, and possibly 3s, as it is hard not to bump up on that rev limiter quickly. The few range 4s are no big deal IMO.

This car should be solid.

Good luck,
DC

Car is a immaculate 2007 Arctic silver with cocoa interior, manual, chrono, adaptive, full clear bra and no sunroof. 28k miles for $68.5k. Might try to nego a little more, its at a dealer.

You sure about no sunroof. AFAIK, all US 997.1 TT's had sunroofs.

Interesting, I never knew that. From the pictures and dealer description I understood it not having one. Will check again, thanks.

Are you looking at a turbo or a GT3? I assumed TT since this the turbo forum.
