Hi all... Long time member, previous owner of a 993 and recently a 997.1 TT Cabrio. Color is Macadamia Brown, which is not that common.

Have done a few mods including mostly Bolt ons (ETS Intercoolers, BMC air filter, Bullet Performance Catless Exhaust, Stainless Steel Brake Lines, Cobb Tune by Rob @ Topspeedmotorsports. I think I will stop modding here and would like to get wheels now.

I have been searching for the best wheels and color of wheels for this setup.

I am leaning towards a gold wheel color, but really not sure. Dark colors are lost and don't show off the wheels well. Another issue to keep in mind is the Caliper color yellow for the PCCB setup, which should look good behind any wheel color I choose.

Anyone out there with photo shop skills, who can show me what different gold shades would look like, would be doing me a huge favor!

Also open to opinions on the wheels (I know it is very subjective, but still would like to hear opinions).

First picture would be best for any photo shop work I think....

I faced a similar decision when I bought winter wheels for my Macadamia Brown Metallic 997 TT cabriolet. I agree with you that dark wheels aren't the way to go, but I didn't want standard silver wheels either. I wanted something with a little more character. I ended up with BBS wheels in anthracite. They have a polished lip and I'm very pleased with the look. Like the paint on the car, these wheels look lighter in bright light.

Your car is almost identical to mine, right down to the solid red tail lights!

Nice... and yes.... cars are almost identical... It is a difficult color to choose for, but also a very exclusive color as well...

I like the look, but find the wheels a bit dark to be honest. Do you have any other pics in more light??

Hey, Beautiful car!! I can do a render for you and also show you some of the gold wheels we have done before. I'll PM some examples and options we have done previously.

Thanks for the message. Very nice work... Leaning more towards HRE's to be perfectly honest....

Hey,

Sounds good HRE is a very good brand and is not a bad thing to be compared to. Just giving you some options here is the Ferrari we did that is in Kuwait as well that I mentioned earlier.

Ferrari 458 Italia
Velos S3 Forged Wheels
2 piece configuration
Hand Brushed w/ Monaco Cooper and Gloss Clear

Those Velos wheels in that exact finish would look amazing on that brown Turbo!

I agree that the color and style would look good, but my gosh... are those 24" on the back of that Ferrari, or are they bigger? It looks like a cartoon car. I think that wheel size looks silly on that car. Dropping them down to 19" diameter, they would look great on the 997.

Well made my decision a couple of nights ago....

I put an order through to HRE for their S101's in a Satin Gold finish. These are the exact wheels...

Lets hope they turn out the way I want them to. I have never seen this finish in real life, so taking a bit of a gamble.

The countdown begins....

So finally got the wheels and installed.... Here you go... Let me know what you think...

Realized it needs a drop, so have ordered the Techart Springs and awaiting their arrival to install.
