997 TTS Production Numbers

997 TTS Production Numbers
After using an F car as my DD since 2012 I am finally getting back into THE best DD I ever had the Porsche 911 TT. Specifically I am buying a CPO 2011 TTS Cabriolet. There seems to be very little product around. Just wondering if anybody has production numbers on the 997 TTS Coupe./Cabriolet broken out by year ie. 2011, 2012 and 2013. Either owners really love their cars or they just didn't make all that many 997 TTS. Can't wait to get back in the 911 again.

I'd be curious too. It took 4 months to find the car I just got yesterday (12 Turbo S). I was the first one to call on the car I found and put a deposit down IMMEDIATELY! I checked every day twice a day on every website out there. Good luck, sir.

I think I remember seeing this in Excellence magazine as I have a 2011 TTS Cab I picked up last October. I believe it was around 1,500 and I assume that was total production. Don't know how many were imported to US.

Found this on Rennlist
Number built with US VIN >/= 676
Percent S = 80%
Percent MT/PDK = 0%/100%
Number built with MT >/= 0 (?/!)
n=30 (Analysis Complete)
I didn't find any MT cars in this analysis for the 2011 model year, then again only six of the 30 cars were non-S. Last up is the 2010 cabriolet/coupe analysis.

FWIW I still haven't been able to find the specific production numbers for US spec 997TTS Cabs.

Wish I understood what all of the #'s meant ! 80% of 676 US spec TTS would make sense for 2011 model year with approx. 541 US spec. cars and likely being an even split b/w cabs. and coupes. Definitely some speculation here as to meaning but I'd think that 500-600 US spec. per year makes sense.

I really love mine. Wish I could DD drive it but it would get beat too fast. I'm in sales and do 18-24K a year.
I almost upgraded to a 991TTS when they came out but after driving it, I prefer the 997. The 991 was to un sports car like on th einside and a littlw bloated looking in he rear. My friend picked one up 991 TTS cab and his is my twin although he went with a navy top and no center locks and I went black top and centerlocks. He looked for a used tts 2011-2012 and decided to buy new after all the ones on sale had poor car faxes.
I will keep this car until it give me a reason to move on. So far I cannot imagine why I would.

There are currently 12 CPO 997TTS Cabs. on Autotrader. I also have been looking at cars.com and dupont registry.com, etc. As we all know there is a bit of luck necessary in finding the right car. I really want (need) certain colors/options and the one I found hits the sweet spot. Not cheap but IMHO you get what you pay for. Since I plan on using as a DD I was looking for reasonable miles on a depreciated car with the factory backed CPO warranty for 2 years. Many reputable non-P car dealers have very nice low mileage cars but as they are not authorized dealers many of the 2011 cars are out of any warranty.

porsche of Huntington will CPO an 11 for you, if they have any left, they have a blue with black that i passed on (believe it was a 12) with 10k ish about and a brand new left over 2012 black/black.
millermotorcars also has a few, they also own Huntington porsche, it took me months to find my 997TTS, and i have never, in person, seen another ruby red metallic turbo.
what color are you looking for?
i'd love to see the breakdown of turbo S delivered in the US, color by color. would be really interesting!

I'm sad to report that I drove the TTS cab. yesterday that I was hoping to bring home on Saturday and just wasn't happy with the steering. Its to loose and candidly just didn't feel right. The steering issue was to be corrected before I picked it up and IMHO it wasn't right. So I'm back in the market. I prefer a black on black TTS coupe (although the one I just passed on was a cab.). At this point I am even considering a 991 TTS Coupe. Seems to be some good deals now on new 2015's (leftovers). I'm willing to look at any reasonable mileage CPO 2011-2013 997 TTS with no more than 25K miles or so (preferably less). I'd like to pay $100K-$110K range. Prefer a local car.
