New IC on the market. What it worth?

regarding stock turbos there is no better ic than 997,2/gt2rs
plastic end tanks will always perform better than steel/alu/titanium ones to keep lower iats.6 years ago i tested 5 different ics on my 997.1tt with apr software.after 2 or three runs with ambient around 32c every alumimium "extra power,low iat"silly priced ic couldnt lower iat below 50-55c...
On the other hand 997.2 ics were always 18 to 20 c below 997,1 ics...
Furthermore where one major tuner here was contacted to buy their super duper ics...they refuse to sell them without their tune and their exhaust...they were afraid of the iat test i was about to perform...at the end ic is just an air to air heat transfer machine...they forgot i am an engineer and kept telling me bull**** about exhausts,etc...
two other major tuners refunded my money when i shipped their ics back...

For stock turbo applications, unless looking to push the envelope, the 997.2 intercoolers are just fine and work very well as already stated. I them on the car when I ran my 5.9 60-130 on the stock VTGs.

Just another mousetrap for the uneducated. Listen to Itguy and Earl when it comes to intercoolers.... 997.2s are going to be very very hard to beat with the typical offerings that market is saturated with. You will need to step it up to aerospace cores like Marstons or Secans to see meaningful improvements in fast thermal recovery and overall lower IATs. I would contact Itguy as he can make intercoolers to you specifications with cores of your choice.
The simple fact that the Wagner cores are coated with black paint should make you run to the hills. The paint will act as an insulating element preventing effective heat transfer from the core to the cooling air flowing over them. By painting the cores, Wagner is essentially locking the heat in the core. Brilliant...

I went with the Champion IC's, you can't go wrong with these, see the video;

not all coatings on intercoolers are created equal.
