RWD Turbo= BEAST

Keep in mind I am making ~630 RWHP
This is my current setup:
Front 19x8.5 - 245/35ZR-19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Rear 19x12 - 325/30ZR-19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
With this setup I have full grip from 2nd gear onward. I chose this combo as it is very close with what the GT2 runs, just a bit wider in the front. In the near future I will consider an LSD however only based on the fact it would be more fun sliding the tail around in a controllable fashion!

GT2 Intercoolers
NHP Exhaust with no cats
Custom Cobb Tune from PTF
RWD= no power conversion loss form the front drive train

Hey Mike - how'd you calculate the 650 RWHP? Did you have it dyno'd?

I've always kind of wanted to try this RWD conversion for the driving dynamics aspect but I totally forgot it would give us more freedom in tire/wheel combos. I'd love to see what a 997TT would look like with some 345s and tasteful wheels, it might just push me over the edge. Bet it could look beastly.

Thanks for sharing this info...!!!
It feels great just like you said, lighter steering, better feedback, lots of wheelspin in 2nd gear, and even a bunch of 3rd on a pull that starts down in the lower RPMs. (My car is tuned a bit)
No CEL at all, I have yet to try a burnout/brake stand, but I'll try that some time soon.

Glad to see someone else taking the plunge! Please do try to post updates on how it works for you.
How hard was it to remove the shafts? I'd have my mechanic do it but if it's 5 hours of taking all of the front suspension and drivetrain apart I'm not sure it's worth it to me.

I dont know if you have any interest, But Donovan is going to pull my driveshaft soon and we are going to throw it on the dyno. If you want to dyno yours as well

Yeah, I was asking about the labor on pulling the driveshaft out. Sounds shockingly easy!
Regarding dynos, I read a thread a few years ago where someone did a 2-wheel dyno with this mod and totally torched their rear brakes (needed a complete replacement) because the computers thought the front wasn't moving and the back was.

Appreciate the heads up, Doesnt AIM dyno in rwd? Wonder if they use the durametric to turn something off

No idea about the AIM dyno, but I found the threads:
